Nanshan Tea Garden, guardian of the golden osmanthus blossoms along Taiwan’s Zhuoshui River, hails from a family of tea farmers in Songmei, Mingjian, Nantou. Drawing on a century-old family tradition of scented tea craftsmanship originating from Fuzhou, Nanshan Tea Garden has, over the past half-century and across three generations, leveraged its expertise in tea production—from sourcing tea leaves to roasting and blending scented teas—to become renowned throughout Taiwan for its osmanthus and other uniquely flavored scented teas. Nanshan Tea Garden strictly adheres to the natural farming methods taught by our ancestors. We manage our tea gardens using our own proprietary microbial pest control methods and participate in the Council of Agriculture’s Traceability Program. We strive to maintain ecological balance, effectively controlling the tea gardens while minimizing harmful substances such as pesticide residues, chemical fertilizer residues, and environmental hormone residues. At the same time, the tea garden adheres to the traditional principles of tea production—such as “harvesting tea leaves according to the solar terms” and “traditional, meticulous hand-roasting over direct fire”—to create teas that are perfectly suited to the seasons and possess a distinct, recognizable character.
